Infants & Younger Toddlers Daycare
Yearly tuition is set and will be charged for the full school year for all students. There are two payment options available for tuition:
Entire year tuition paid in full by August 1st (10 month schedule.)
Three month installments for August 1st, October 1st, December 1st (10 month schedule.)
If choosing the three monthly installment option, all checks must be submitted with your signed tuition contract in the form of head checks. The school will then deposit them on the noted dates. At the time of registration, a non-refundable registration fee of $200 is due in order to process your registration.
If we are able to accommodate your child, a letter/email confirming your child's acceptance will be sent to you together with the tuition contract. To guarantee your child a place in our program, this tuition contract must be signed and returned together with a $1,000 non-refundable deposit (which will go towards your last month’s tuition payment). This will reserve your child a place in our daycare. An admission card will be issued to you, upon receipt of your signed tuition contract, tuition payments, and all additional fees. This card must be brought along with your child on the first day of school.
No child will be admitted to daycare without an admission card.
If you register your child after the year commences, the full amount of annual tuition is still due on the child’s first day of school. Any child that registers after November, tuition is prorated according to the next year's tuition prices.
An additional $150 will be charged to anyone who changes their child’s schedule after the first week of school.
A $30 fee will be charged for any bounced checks.
Refunds and Termination: Parents who withdraw their child in the middle of the school year must notify the daycare in writing. There are no refunds on tuition. *
**In case of a health emergency or moving out of town tuition refund will work as follows: You will lose the deposit and an additional two months of tuition unless you have another child to fill your exact spot, in which case, you will only lose your deposit.
A child’s enrollment may be terminated by the daycare for non-payment of fees; the child has a medical or behavioral problem which the school is not able to handle. Parents will be given two weeks’ notice and an explanation prior to the date of termination. If the daycare terminates a child’s enrollment, a prorated refund of tuition will be made.
Chai Daycare provides a secure facility with closed-circuit cameras, electronically locked doors, and a rotating security guard to monitor our site.
We offer peace of mind to families due to unfortunate events that have occurred.
A monthly security fee of $50 will be added to the tuition of each family regardless of enrollment schedule.
A child signing up for the the full 12 month year will only be charged a fee of $550.
In the event of school closure by the NYC DOH
Chai Daycare will refund 100% of all fees, except registration fees paid, if the NYC DOH does not allow school to open and our program cannot begin in September 2020.
In the event that NYC DOH mandates a temporary closure of more than 10 school days, Chai Daycare will refund 95% of tuition fees prorated, until school reopens. This refund will start after the 10 day period. The 5% of the fees will be allotted towards our virtual learning programs.
In the event that daycare closes indefinitely beyond 10 days, Chai Daycare will refund the remaining tuition fees prorated, except the 5% which will be allotted toward our virtual learning programs. This refund will start after the 10 day period.
